The Problem
An educational K-12 school consortium that manages and funds schools in the NE region of the US wanted to analyze student behavior and test scores across many state and internal benchmarks. The organization also needed to move away from using excel and google spreadsheets to capture student performance data.
The solution
Bowery Data created a standardized database to capture student performance data from all participating schools and grade levels in the NE region. Helped the educational consortium to utilize the new database to deliver dashboards to the executive director and managing board. Bowery also built out complex insights to showcase benchmark performance between schools within the consortium as well as state data sets. Client was able to utilize the new dashboards to provide real time insights into school and student performance for funding and staffing needs, The consortium was also able to use the trends analysis to optimize their programs and curriculum based on accurate data. Predictive modeling was also used to begin identifying students with potential drop out signals to provide additional resourcing and immediate help.
