Insider Intelligence report stated that currently, TikTok is one of the world's top social media apps with 1 billion active users and its Ad revenue is predicted to triple by $11.64 billion in 2022 when compared to the prior year $3.88 billion. TikTok would excel Ad revenue of Twitter and Snapchat combined at $5.58 billion and $4.86 billion. More than half $6 billion of the social video app's ad revenue is predicted to come from the U.S. By 2024, TikTok's worldwide ad revenue may hit $23.58 billion which is closer to YouTube's ad revenue of $23.65 billion.

YouTube and Major League Baseball (MLB) have tied up a partnership to stream live 15 regular-season games beginning in May for free to fans around the world in 182 countries. Now OTT streaming services have been expanding content offerings, launching new channels to draw subscribers. Meta has announced that it is looking to test virtual sales in its Horizon Worlds platform, so the company is charging digital creators a fee of up to 47.5% to sell virtual items and in-world items. WhatsApp introduces new communities and other additional features in the app. These features of Communities include file sharing, 32-person group calls, emoji reactions, admin tools and moderation controls. These new features will be tested in a small number of communities in order to gather inputs before rollout to the general public.
