US OTT Ad Spend Reached $1.3 Billion

As per MediaRadar report, OTT services like Hulu, HBO Max, Discovery+, Paramount and Peacock reached 65% ad spending. In 2021, total OTT ad spending reached $1.3 billion. In the U.S, 78% of the consumers have subscription video services and currently, OTT spending has reached 3% of total digital spend per month. As per the study, OTT spending is gradually increasing in the advertising space.

In 2021, Q4 Nordstrom company has started on-site sponsored ads through the Nordstrom Media Network, through this Nordstrom has seen $40 million in revenue by working with hundreds of brands. While other retailers like Walmart earned $2 billion annually from ads and Target is planning to expand its Roundel media network to earn $2 billion business in the coming years.

Macy's company has dedicated to spending $5 billion by 2025 to create a more equitable and sustainable future. Even the company also receives 30% ethnically diverse representation at the director level and planning to boost hourly pay to $15 per hour by May 1. Its communities planning to donate $100 million to nonprofit organizations and $2 million as scholarships for supporting underrepresented youth in fashion, design and other sustainability programs.

After Apple's App Tracking Transparency update, globally in-app purchase revenue for mobile games has declined to 35%. In 2021, Gaming apps have spent $14.5 billion on user acquisition globally while the U.S has commanded half of the budget. For the mobile apps that gather user's data without user permission, gaming app installs on Android has gained 22% growth while iOS decreased to 6%. In the U.S, in-app ad revenue rose to 55%.

In 2021, WPP has seen a 13.3% rise in like-for-like revenue and the company's creative agencies were pulled up by 7.7%.
