Amazon now has a Bigger Ad Business than YouTube

In 2021, Q4 Amazon has more ad revenue than YouTube. The revenue has increased 32% to $9.72 billion that reaching $31.16 billion revenue for the year. But Q4 revenue is slightly down when compared with Q3 52% and Q2 88%. The company stated that Amazon’s ad business generated more revenue than the company's physical stores $17.08 billion. eMarketer predicts that Amazon’s share in US digital ad market would rise to 1.7 percent in 2022 and increase 14.6% by 2023.

Today marketers include TikTok and Instagram platforms in their marketing strategy to promote their brand for a wide range of people. Instagram has nearly 1 billion users monthly whereas Tik Tok has 689 million monthly active users. Usually, Tik Tok has associated with Gen Z and millennials users but now 50% of the users are above aged 30. Some studies say that in the U.S majority of the users spent on average 32 minutes per day on TikTok overtaking Instagram by three more minutes extra viewing duration.

Amazon's advertising services generated $9.7 billion in revenue in Q4 which is up by 32% YOY gain. For the complete year, Amazon has seen $31.15 billion in ad revenue. The company saw a total revenue of $137.4 billion in Q4 and the profit was reached $14.3 billion. Amazon is likely to increase prime membership from $119 to $139 per year and this is the first hike from 2018.

Whereas Mac has experienced 17-time raise in purchases among women and 2.4 times in brand awareness. In the U.S, 29% younger generation said that they complete a purchase on a social network, 19% of adults believe the data on social media is trustworthy and 10% trust social networks keep their personal information safe.
