Alphabet has seen a huge sale growth in Q4

By the end of the fiscal first quarter, Apple's services segment advertising has ramped up its growth by 24% which is a new record and earned of about $19.5 billion YOY. When coming to the overall company revenue, it is up by 11% YoY to $123.9 billion. Over the last 12 months, Apple has added 165 million new users of paid subscriptions across its portfolio.

Google parent company Alphabet has seen a huge sale growth in Q4 of $75.33 billion which is a 32% rise from the prior year. The company’s annual profit rose by almost $36 billion when compared to 2020 and 2021. The company’s dominance over digital advertising which includes online search, video and internet ad sales made the company to stood as one of the leading beneficiaries.

As per recent studies, many marketers are likely to invest more in social media advertising and even some brands dedicate 90% of their budget to digital advertising. TikTok is the one brand that has gained more traction, 87% said they would raise spending on Facebook and 73% of them are likely to spend on Instagram ads in 2022.

The metaverse is likely to transform the digital marketing landscape and it is under process. As of now, AR is the most accessible metaverse-adjacent marketing tool used by social media platforms in some sort of AR filter product. In 2022, emarketers predicts that 101.6 million, 52.6 million AR users will access AR through social media. In that 64 million are US VR users who use headsets when there is a tech improvement and prices fall.

In Q4 2021, Instagram has overtaken Facebook by its ad impressions. For Instagram, 47.0% of ad impressions came from the feed, 42.0% from the stories and 9% from the explore as all these combined generated huge ad revenue for the US of about $26.46 billion.
