As per the new survey it has found that Facebook is the top U.S social networking platform which accounts for up to 83% of the US social media adults and they use it at least once a week. Then YouTube holds second place with 68% of them viewing it. Then followed by Instagram with 52%, Twitter with 34%, Snapchat with 31%. Meanwhile, TikTok falls down the social media ladder with 31%.

As people in the U.S are fully vaccinated and started to step of their homes to shop in-store shopping. Due to this, retail sales have risen 0.7% unpredictably in this September. Analysts predict that retail sales pull up by 15.5% YOY exceeding the 6 trillion dollar mark in 2021 and these sales will further rise to $7 trillion by 2024. Whereas retail ecommerce sales grew 16.1% to reach $1 trillion in 2021. By 2025, ecommerce sales would reach $1.607 trillion, up 13.8% YoY.

Research conducted by Amity found that about 72% of the people want to stick to the brand that provides a strong online community. Also found that 63% of the people would prefer to buy from a brand that holds social features on its app. 52% say that social proof such as customer reviews makes the customer purchase from a brand.

A survey conducted by marketing intelligence service WARC on 715,000 consumers found that in 2021 advertisers are more likely to spend double investment on social media and linear TV. It is predicted that by end of 2022, the ad spent on social media increase to 39.1% and linear TV was 31.5%. In the US, 19% of them believe that advertising on social media is trustworthy.
