A survey conducted by Magna revealed that in the coming year advertising revenue for media owners is projected to hit $833 billion which is up 5% from 2022’s $795 billion. 2023 would be a slow down year for U.S-based advertisers, as sales growth will be 4% to $330 billion and ad sales for publishing and television will shrink by 3% and 4% respectively. Digital advertising sales are expected to grow by 8%, reaching $557 billion in global sales and reflecting 65% of ad sales.

This helps brand marketers or martech companies to share and collaborate around their data sets while protecting consumer privacy. Intelligence research shows 37% of agencies and media owners plan to improve investment in clean rooms.

As per Piper Sandler's forecast, 66% of 12- to 17-year-olds in the US are using the TikTok app monthly and the newcomer BeReal already has 34% of US teens using it just as often.

As per eMarketers predictions, 50.7% of US users will be watching content via AVOD services by 2023 and that figure will increase to 55.8% by 2026. 50% of the US population will be watching content from at least one ad-supported streaming service monthly by 2026, up from 41.8% in 2022. Just like OTT, AVOD viewers seem to be using multiple AVOD services at a time rather than limiting themselves to a single offering.

Carl Pei co-founder of Chinese mobile phone maker OnePlus is planning to launch a new smartphone in the U.S with the ambition of taking on Apple’s iPhone. The company predicts that its revenues to pull more than tenfold in 2022 from about $20 million in 2021 to an estimated $250 million this year.
