Half of US Social Network Users Will Buy via Social Platforms.

A recent study revealed that in the coming years, more than half of US social network users will buy via social platforms. By this year, the number of US TikTok buyers would hit 72.3% to reach 23.7 million, Instagram with 41.0 million buyers at 9.0% growth and Facebook with 63.5 million buyers at 11.9% growth.

When the campaign combines both video and images achieves 10 times higher lifts in memorability, 14 times higher lifts in messaging recall, and a three times higher lift in brand favourability. eMarketers forecast that Reddit’s ad revenue would hit $360 million in 2022, a 16.6% increase from the prior year.

Surpassing Netflix which has just gained 2.4 million quarterly subscribers. By end of this year, US OTT subscribers would rise to 2.1%. Disney after the revenue drop, the company is focused on revenue and profit instead of streaming subscribers.

Edelman report stated that social media is the least trusted industry worldwide. The survey of 15,000 respondents in 15 global markets says that trust in social media rated 47%. Technology led the industry ranking with a trust rating of 76%. In the US, Pinterest is the top most trusted platform by users.

Alphabet’s third-quarter earnings stated that Google’s advertising business ramped up by 2.5% YOY which is a slight drop compared to the previous year which has seen 43% growth in Q3. Google revealed that nearly 40% of young Americans use TikTok and Instagram as their search engines of choice. YouTube’s ad revenue dropped 2% in Q3.

In the US Twitter, ad revenue was $2.63 billion and $4.67 billion worldwide. As per eMarketers predictions, the company will lose 1.4 million US users in the next four years, landing at 56.1 million active users in 2026.
