New research from Samba TV and HarrisX revealed that most of the people who sign up for an ad-supported streaming plan are first-time subscribers. The survey also found that 11% of Netflix users and 19% of Disney+ users have been using ad-supported tiers, 15% of them dropped from more expensive subscription, while the remaining 85% are new signups.
