In the US, Retail Sales Rose to 0.3% in May.

Despite high interest rates and inflation US people have spent more in this spring season due to this retail sales rose to 0.3% in May. That growth in turn rises to robust hiring and rising wages. As per the Labor Department employers have added nearly 1.6 million jobs this year through May, but unemployment remains low.

Recently Snap has introduced My AI chatbot and now it is testing how to use the data from its My AI chatbot that could boost its ad business. The company says 20% of its monthly users have sent 10 billion messages to the chatbot and the number of Snapchat+ subscribers rose to over 3 million after My AI was introduced.

A report from Forrester Research revealed that 33,000 ad agency jobs could be replaced by automation by 2030, which is 7.5% total agency workforce. Of the total,11,000 jobs will be replaced by artificial intelligence. In May the ad industry added 2,600 jobs at the same time,3900 jobs across industries were replaced by AI.

As per eMarketers forecast advertisers will spend 65.6% of digital advertising dollars on mobile and 9.5% on CTV in 2023, while CTV will surpass a quarter of digital time spent. 90% of time spent on mobile is in apps, but only 81.8% of mobile ad spend will go to in-app placements this year. The share of digital time spent on desktops/laptops declined, but these devices still generate nearly 15% of time spent on the internet.

As per subscriptions analytics firm Antenna 46% are willing to have ad free services with two or more subscriptions at the end of March this percentage is up by 39% compared to the last year. Users with two or more streaming subscriptions opted for ad-supported dropped to 25% from 35% two years earlier.

A new study from the Association of National Advertisers stated that marketers can save about $13 billion by improving programmatic practices and cut click-bait websites from ad buys. This campaign runs on 44,000 websites, so these could not reach most of the audiences. The brands must seek direct contracts with primary partners in the supply chain.
