Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the company is making a teleconferencing service, called Google Meet — the premium video meetings will be free for everyone. Pichai said that video conferencing service is adding about 3 million new users a day amid the COVID-19 pandemic, up from 2 million new users a day earlier this month. Google is adding new features such as scheduling, screen sharing and real-time captions to Meet to help it better compete with competitors like Zoom.

15 children have been hospitalized between 29 April and 3 May in NYC with symptoms consistent with a rare inflammatory disease possibly linked to the coronavirus, said by New York City’s health officials. The 15 patients aged between 2 to 15, have shown illness mirrors symptoms common to Kawasaki disease. Children with the syndrome, characterized by symptoms like rash, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and high fever, the city’s health department said. The health officials issued a health alert on Tuesday to parents saying that the children had a syndrome that even doctors do not yet fully understand.

A film crew working in a Spain national park has captured footage of the rare brown bear believed to have been seen in the local area for more than a century, said by wildlife officials.
