One-fifth of workers are in the unemployment line in some states. There is a boosted new claim for unemployment insurance. Some states like Pennsylvania — encouraged laid-off workers to file, while other states like New York are hit hard and are struggling with technical glitches and overwhelmed filing systems, holding down the number of claims.

Nevada dependent on gambling is at 6.3 % unemployment rate. The U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported that unemployment climbed in 29 states as the national jobless rate surged to 4.4%. According to an analysis of government data, the highest unemployment rate increases occurred in Nevada (6.3%) and Colorado (4.5%), while North Dakota (2.2%) and Idaho (2.6 %) had the lowest unemployment rate in March 2020. The Hermès Boutique in China made 19 million renminbi (which is roughly US $2.7 million), on the day its flagship store reopened after the coronavirus quarantine, according to a report by WWD (Women’s Wear Daily). The single day sales of French fashion brands including, handbags, silk scarves and diamond-studded Himalayan Birkin bringing in a tally of $2.7 million, believed to be the highest figure for a single boutique in China.
